Which Get A Handle On Your Camera should I get?
The tripod you use will determine which handle you purchase. But since we custom make each handle to order, if you have a different tripod that requires a different style tripod plate we can special order it & make it specifically for you & your tripod.
How will I know if it will fit my camera?
Check where your mounting hole is on the bottom of your camera by measuring the distance from the back left hand side of your camera to the mounting hole. If the mounting hole is 2" to 2.75," our two mounting positions will work perfectly with your camera. If it is way off please reach out to us & we will gladly create a custom handle to specifically fit the tripod position on your camera.
Is it difficult to do battery changes?
No it is not difficult, but is a little different then how you do them now. With a Get A Handle On my Camera, always keep the screwdriver that comes in the package, with your spare battery. Then simply loosening the screw a little but, but NOT REMOVING it. Rotate the handle out of the way, replace battery, rotate handle back in to position, tighten screw & you are back in business. Put screwdriver back with your depleted battery. Takes just 15 seconds ar so.
Do the handles look out of place at a Luxury Wedding where everyone is in Formal Attire?
Actually the curved, ergonomic design adds to your refined style & sophistication!
Does Get A Handle On Your Camera work best for Wedding, Portrait, Sports or Scenic Photographers?
Actually all of the above! I use Get A Handle On My Camera attached to all of my cameras no matter what I am shooting. Although it feels good securely holding my camera with a short lens attached, using it when you have a large heavy lens really helps in maneuvering and manipulating the weight of your heavy lens & camera. However using Get A Handle On Your Camera gives you extra Confidence & Security when when you are using your REALLY EXPENSIVE GLASS. Plus it looks cool!
How big a lens can I use with Get A Handle on My Camera?
These handles work great with Small Lenses & Big Lenses. My Nikon Z72 generally has a short 40mm prime lens, a 85mm prime or a 17mm-28mm Zoom attached, while my Nikon D4S always has a 70-200 F2.8 lens connected to it. Wielding a heavy body with a 70-200 zoom & all of its weight is not a problem! Obviously using really big lenses will put more pressure on the mounting point of your camera then a small lens. So using common sense, with very large lenses you may need to use additional support.
When mounting Camera/Handle to the tripod does it allow for vertical tripod shooting?
Get A Handle On Your Camera mounts to the tripod in a horizontal position. Unlike an L-Bracket that allows both vertical & horizontal mounting, our handles only allow horizontal mounting. However, using a ball head though allows the camera/handle to be rotated to a vertical position while attached to the tripod.
Do you have instructions on using & care of the handles?
Yes we have entire page dedicated to helpful tips & care for your Get A Handle On Your Camera here.
What if I need a particular color handle to match my work clothes?
Yes, we can custom make each handle to match your prefered colors no problem. Because I wear all black work attire & have a black double camera harness when I go to a wedding, corporate event or family portrait, I personally prefer the ALL BLACK HANDLES on my cameras. I also use Manfroto Tripod and I have Manfroto tripod plates on them as well. Obviously, your prefered tripod will dictate the handle/tripod plate you purchase.
